There’s no reason not to give!

Hello, my name is Erin and this is my story. I gave birth at the young age of 16; the birth went ok but i had some complications; it wasn’t for a few days after that those complications took a turn for the worst. While trying to get out of bed, the nurse was helping me - and I passed out. My husband (boyfriend at the time) was very scared... my doctor told me I needed a transfusion of three pints. I went ahead with the transfusion and I believe it probably saved my life! I had remembered always going with my father when he donated blood, and now that I’m older, I realize that I owe it to my fellow human beings to donate my rare O- blood! People selflessly donated to make me well, and able to take care of my child. I have 2 beautiful girls now and it was only possible because someone decided to donate. So thank you to those people, I will always owe you!
