Ms Helen

I did not start donating blood until I was 60 years old. I came down with Hepatitis A when I was 12 and had always been told that if you have had Hepatits you can't donate. Then recently my brother-in-law who has been donating for 30 plus years, told me that he was pretty confident the rules had changed or else I had just been misinformed all these years. I contacted Canadian Blood Services, and then I was on the road to donating. I wish that I had inquired sooner. I have always been a supporter of organ donation so why wait until I die when I can help others right now by giving blood.
