In Memory of my Gran

Back in 1989 my maternal grandmother was in the last stages of a cancer that would eventually take her life. From time to time she was given blood transfusions and they really perked her up and improved her quality of life, if only for a short time. Some time after she passed I began to make blood donations in memory of and in honor of her. Over the years I have continued my commitment to donating blood and have made a total of 122 whole blood donations. It only takes a small amount of my time and I know what a big difference it can make in the lives of others. I'm thankful to have the good health to be a part of this life giving system and will continue to do so as long as I can.
