I was in my teenage years when I first decided I wanted to donate blood, but I was scared of needles so it took me many years to gather the confidence to do this great deed.
A few days back, I again decided to turn my goal into a reality. I talked to my friend and we both decided to donate blood on her birthday.
I was initially nervous but the entire process was very easy and I cherish the whole staff, who comforted me throughout the whole thing! My experience was wonderful.
Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person — the gift of life.
There is no real substitute for human blood. There are thousands of people waiting for a match and second chances at life. The need for blood is high right now. A small needle can save someone's life.
