I started donating when I was 17. It just gave me a good feeling. But in 1987, my youngest daughter was diagnosed with E-coli and hospitalized. She required 4 blood transfusions over her 2 week stay. Ever since, I've had a much better reason for donating. I've donated to this point 89 times and striving for that 100 plateau. I will forever be thankful for people who donated blood when my daughter needed it. Now I'm paying it forward with each of my donations. Thank you.
All of a sudden, donating made a lot of sense
